Awarded Success for Spring Student-Athletes

As the spring sports season has come to a close, a plethora of our Varsity student-athletes have been recognized and honored for their outstanding performance and commitment to their sport throughout the season by the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) and the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).
Honors include FAA All-League, FAA All-League Honorable Mention, All-NEPSAC, and All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention.

“We are extremely proud of our players and coaches and all of the success they had this spring,” said Director of Athletics David Doyle. “It takes a great deal of commitment and dedication to earn what they have accomplished.”

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team won the Fairchester Athletic Association League title and the New England Championships. Senior Gavin Lyons earned FAA All-League 1st Team and All-NEPSAC; senior Brady Chernovetz earned FAA All League 1st Team and All-NEPSAC; sophomore Amato Civitello earned FAA All-League 1st Team and All-NEPSAC; senior Ryan Lynch earned FAA All-League 2nd Team and All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention; senior Will McGarry earned FAA All-League 2nd Team and All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention, junior Logan Charboneau earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention, and sophomore Nicolas Scillia earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention.

The Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Team won the New England Championships – Al Brown Cup. Junior Niko Millhouse earned FAA All-League 1st Team and All-NEPSAC, junior Shane Esposito earned FAA All-League 2nd Team and All-NEPSAC, and senior Andrew Grillo earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention. Senior Daniel Vining earned All-NEPSAC and senior Jake Cacace earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention.

For Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse, senior Lily Schoonmaker earned FAA All-League 1st team and was named Western New England All-Star and All-NEPSAC; freshman Alex Tombaugh was named Western New England All Star; and eighth-grader Kaja Millhouse earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention.

For Girls’ Varsity Softball, junior Melanie Carling earned FAA All-League 2nd Team and All-NEPSAC; eighth-grader Chloe Carling earned FAA All-League 2nd Team and All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention, and junior Mara Patterson earned FAA All-League Honorable Mention.

For Girls’ Varsity Tennis, freshman Rebecca Danishevsky earned All-NEPSAC and junior Theodora Aslan earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention. For Co-ed Varsity Golf, juniors North Chery and Phillip Kim both earned FAA All-League.
