Hamden Hall to Host Screening of 'I Am Shakespeare'
Hamden Hall Country Day School will host a screening of the poignant film, I Am Shakespeare: The Henry Green Story, on Friday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. in its Taylor Performing Arts Center.
Following the screening, filmmaker Stephen Dest will be on hand to discuss the film and his experience chronicling the true-life story of 19-year-old Henry Green. Green was a brilliant young actor and inner-city gang member in New Haven.
The event is part of the Beckerman Lecture Series, an ongoing community offering that promotes engaging conversation about topics and themes that shape our world and impact our place in the global community. Sponsored by the Beckerman Family Foundation, the series is a complimentary event for the public.
