Curtis "Curt" O'Connor, Past Parent and Former Trustee
Curtis "Curt" Thomas O'Connor of Branford, died on January 8 at CT Hospice, surrounded by his loving family and devoted friends. He was 79. Curt is survived by his wife of 23 years, Melodie, three daughters, and several grandchildren. Two of Curt's daughters are graduates of Hamden Hall, Beth O'Connor Moyles, Class of 1985, and Amy O'Connor Paleski, Class of 1988.
Curt grew up in North Haven, graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelors in economics. He went on to work in sales for the H.B. Ives Company and later transitioned to his lifelong career in investments and insurance, owning two successful financial services businesses. He served on the Hamden Hall Country Day School Board of Trustees from 1986 to 1992.
