The Co-ed Varsity Swimming Team welcomed Canterbury School for a home meet on Saturday, January 13, with the Boys’ Team winning 47-40.
For the Boys’ Team, senior Connor Jermain placed first in the 50-yard Freestyle with a time of 23.52 while sophomore Tyler Tagliarini placed first in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:06.44. Sophomore Jack Cucchiarelli, freshman Paxon Campbell, and eighth-graders Gavin Giordano and Frey Wang placed first in the 200-Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:01.50. The Boys’ overall record is now 3-1.
For the Girls’ Team, senior Mason Rickey placed first in the 100-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:06.84 while freshman Alessandra Sticca placed first in the 500-Yard Freestyle with a time of 6:30.75. Junior Sissi Zhang, sophomore Jiali Yang, sophomore Emma Cunningham and freshman Bethel Desta placed third in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:51.62. The Girls’ overall record is now 0-4.
The team returns to the pool for a meet against Kingswood-Oxford School and Williams School on Wednesday, January 24, at 4 p.m.
