Boys’ Varsity Baseball Remains On Top

The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled for an away game against Brunswick School on Monday, April 1, winning 5-1.

Senior and starting pitcher Gavin Lyons took the mound, only giving up one run through five innings. Senior Ryan Lynch followed up as the relief pitcher and sophomore Amato Civitello closed out the game. At the plate, sophomore Nicolas Scillia had two hits and senior Will McGarry extended the team’s lead with two RBIs.

The team won its previous game against Greens Farms Academy on Saturday, March 30, with a score of 14-4. Coach Brad Chernovetz noted that the team record has improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the Fairchester Athletic Association league.

The Hornets return to the field for a game against St. Luke’s School on Thursday, April 4, at 4:15 p.m.
