Winning Streak Continues for Boys’ Varsity Baseball
The Boys’ Varsity Baseball Team traveled for an away game against St. Luke’s School on Thursday, April 4, winning 4-0.
Sophomore Nic Scillia took the mound as the starting pitcher and led the Hornets through five scoreless innings. Senior and relief pitcher Ryan Lynch closed out the game, allowing no runs scored.
At the plate, junior Logan Charboneau was 3-for-3 with two hits and one RBI as fellow junior Asher Wasserman landed a double with two RBIs. Sophomore Amato Civitello had three hits.
Coach Brad Chernovetz noted that the team record has now improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the FAA league.
The team returns home to the Skiff Street Athletic Fields for a game against Harvey School on Saturday, April 6, at noon.
