Longtime Hornet Class of 2015 couple Austin DiMartino and Josie Maynard have announced their engagement. Austin proposed on the sandy beach of Plum Island, Mass., on August 24.
The couple, who are both Hamden Hall Lifers, met in former faculty member Jane Scognamillo’s Kindergarten class. They began dating in seventh grade and have been together ever since. Josie was also valedictorian of the Class of 2015.
Following Hamden Hall, Austin graduated from Connecticut College in 2019 with a degree in computer science. He currently works as a senior quality engineer at Imprivata, a software company in Waltham, Mass.
Josie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Williams College in 2019 with a degree in economics and is currently pursuing her MBA at Harvard Business School. She worked after college as a senior analyst at Analysis Group, an economic consulting firm in Boston, Mass., and will return to the company following her time at Harvard.
The couple resides in Cambridge, Mass., with their three-legged cat Taggy.
