Hamden Hall parent Danielle Pannone has been named the new Girls’ Varsity Field Hockey Coach for the upcoming fall season. She currently serves as the head coach of the Girls’ Lacrosse Team at Cromwell High School and head coach at Dewlax Lacrosse Club for the 32’/33’ team.
Prior to joining Hamden Hall, Coach Pannone worked at the collegiate level with posts at Albertus Magnus College where she worked for two seasons as the head coach of both the Women’s Field Hockey and Lacrosse teams. Most recently, she served as the assistant coach for the Girls’ Lacrosse Team at Sacred Heart University. Under her leadership, the team won its first undefeated conference-regular season since 2012 and went on to their fourth appearance in the D1 NCAA playoffs. Coach Pannone was named 2023 NEC Coaching Staff of the Year along with two other coaches.
Coach Pannone began her coaching career in 2012 as the head coach of the North Branford Middle School Field Hockey Team and later joined the Girls’ Lacrosse Team at North Branford High School as an assistant in 2016. She held those two positions until 2019 when she left to pursue other opportunities. In 2020, she went on to become the head junior varsity and assistant varsity coach for Field Hockey at North Haven High School and head girls’ lacrosse coach at Bunnell High School in Stratford, Conn., for two seasons.
In addition, Coach Pannone gives back to her community as she donates her time to coaching youth lacrosse and field hockey camps along with providing lessons to players she previously coached.
