The Boys’ Varsity Water Polo Team welcomed Loomis Chaffee for a match on Saturday, September 21, winning 16-4.
Following a loss to Greenwich Country Day School in its season opener, the team was ready to go. Junior Jack Cucchiarelli led the Hornets with five goals, three assists, and two steals while fellow junior Heath Schwarz scored four goals, three assists, and one steal. Freshman John Countryman had two goals as seventh-grader Leo Spiegel had one goal and one steal. Senior and goalie Eric Huang had nine saves in the net for the victory.
The team also won its scrimmage against the New Haven Hydras with a score of 7-6.
The next match is set for Friday, September 27, against Fairchester Athletic Association League rival Hopkins School at 4:45 p.m.
