Claire Rich, Beloved Hamden Hall Faculty Member & Past Parent

Claire Rich, of Hamden, died suddenly on October 20. Claire is survived by her husband, fellow Hamden Hall faculty member, Bruce Rich, and her alumni children, Nolan Rich, Class of 2009 and Ellen Rich Mayer, Class of 2010, and her new granddaughter, Nora Mayer.

 

Claire was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, friend, and of course, a dedicated teacher who shared her energy and enthusiasm in her classroom, on the cross country fields and basketball courts, and at summer camp. As Head of School Bob Izzo reflected about Claire, "she loved working with young people and found joy in seeing her students grow and succeed."
 
The Hamden Hall community extends heartfelt sympathy to Bruce, Nolan, Ellen, and the entire Rich/Keating family.
