Building Community one BINGO card at a time

Everyone loves a game of BINGO – especially when it’s virtual! Thanks to Blake Acquarulo, Class of 2012, our Hamden Hall community was able to come together in May, despite COVID-19, and enjoy an evening of fun and games. Blake came across a company that provided a virtual BINGO experience, Get Your Bingo On, while supporting a local charity event.

“After participating, my mom (Pam Acquarulo) and I immediately thought that this could be a great opportunity to bring together the Hamden Hall community during such difficult times. I enjoyed how simple and easy it was to participate in virtual BINGO and how this activity broke up the monotony of quarantine,” said Blake.
Blake teamed up with the Development Office to provide an event that not only supported the newly created Hamden Hall Scholarship Fund but was also a way for our community to interact and enjoy virtual time together.

“My time as a student at Hamden Hall taught me the value of community, and organizing this event felt like my small way to contribute to the community that has taught and given me so much,” said Blake.

Blake has maintained a strong connection to Hamden Hall throughout the years.

“Hamden Hall has given me so much, beyond an incredible education. I greatly believe that many of the values instilled in me at Hamden Hall, including social responsibility and excellence, have made me the person I am today and the physician I will be in the near future. Hamden Hall’s community is one-of-a-kind, and I enjoy staying connected to the school that raised me,” she said.
Virtual BINGO participants included students, faculty, parents, grandparents, alumni, and staff.
Hamden Hall expresses their gratitude to the Acquarulo Family for their contributions to this event and our school community.
