Dr. Frank Troncale, Past Parent

Dr. Frank J. Troncale of Branford died at Connecticut Hospice on January 7. He was 86. He is survived by his wife, Mary Fesq Troncale, and his children, Hamden Hall alumni James Troncale, Class of 1983, Michael Troncale, Class of 1987, Nicole Troncale, Class of 1990, and two grandchildren.

Dr. Troncale was born in Birmingham, Ala. He graduated from Loyola University of the South with a degree in biological sciences, received an M.D. from Tulane University, and went on to complete his internship and residency in New York City and Boston. He served as an M.D. in the U. S. Army Medical Corps at Walter Reed and in Bangkok, Thailand. He went on to complete his gastroenterology fellowship at Cornell University Medical Center and Sloan Kettering Institute. In 1997, he co-founded Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut and Endoscopy Center of Connecticut.
