Mark Rabinowitz of Branford, died peacefully on March 1. He was 71. Mark is survived by his wife of 43 years, Fran, three children, including Hamden Hall parent, Sean Rabinowitz, and six grandchildren, two of which are current Hamden Hall students, Benjamin Rabinowitz, Class of 2035, and Vivian Rabinowitz, Class of 2036.
Mark's career in education spanned over 40 years, beginning in Darien, then in 1977 he moved on to Branford Public Schools where he first worked as a school psychologist. He was named principal of Sliney School in 1984, and in 1991 he became the principal of Tisko Elementary school, where he dedicated 19 years until his retirement in 2010.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 11 a.m. at Temple Beth Tikvah, 196 Durham Rd., Madison. Hamden Hall extends condolences to the Rabinowitz family. To read obituary, please click here.
