Computer Engineering Degree and Cum Laude Distinction for 2020 Alumnus
Class of 2020 alumnus Chengcheng “Merlin” Zhang graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering. He also earned the ECE Booker Memorial Honors Award.
During his time in undergrad, Merlin completed valuable internships at UC San Diego and Proko Tech LLC. At UCSD, he engineered an enhanced access control system managing over 1,000 student records. At Proko Tech, he spearheaded the development of a cloud vision server feature for real-time parking spot reallocation.
Following graduation, Merlin is continuing his studies at UC San Diego, pursuing a Master of Science degree in computer engineering. He is actively seeking software engineering internship opportunities for the upcoming year, aiming to leverage his expertise in advanced data structures and backend systems.
Merlin said he is excited to further develop his skills in emerging technologies and contribute to groundbreaking projects in a collaborative workplace.
